Located 250 km north of Vancouver, deep in the Fraser River canyon, Cisco is where the CN and CP tracks cross over each other and both cross the Fraser River. At this point the river is running north to south. North of Cisco the CN tracks are on the west bank and CP tracks are on the east bank. South of Cisco the opposite is true. There is a connecting track downgrade eastward from CN to CP. Our visit was before directional running came into effect so each railroad ran their trains in both directions on their own tracks.
